This is from Matt Dillahunty’s facebook page:

William Lane Craig ducks out of another debate with me…but, finally, we have confirmation of his reasons:

“You were correct about Dr Craig’s unwillingness to debate you, but it has to do with a criteria he has maintained for all potential opponents to have a terminal degree in their field of study. So, you do not need to reserve the date in May. “

Curiously, he debates others without “terminal degrees”, when it suits him.

So, Craig cares more for credentials than expertise or whether a good conversation is likely (he also ducked out of an offer to have an unstructured discussion with me) …this officially moves him from his venerated position near the top of Christian debaters to, very nearly, the bottom.

He’s a collegiate, debate-for-points hack who cares nothing about an honest discussion…and I’m going to establish my own criteria that I won’t debate folks like that (and I encourage others to similarly avoid his ilk).

Bad move on his part. I’ll be giving him attention in a way he didn’t really want.

Rather cherry picking his use of qualification criteria!
